NECK CIRCUMFERENCE

This measurement is important if you want to measure your dog for a collar or an article of clothing such as a dog coat. Measure the dog's neck circumference directly at the point where the accessory, such as the collar, will later sit. The tape measure should be just as tight as the collar will later be. Alternatively, you can measure a collar that already fits well - it's that easy :)

Important: To do this, you need to measure the inner circumference of the collar. The tape measure should be flush against the inside of the collar. Please do not measure the length of the collar as this will lead to inaccurate results. To measure for a pull stop collar, you also need to consider the head circumference.

Chest circumference is primarily measured for dog coats, sweaters and dog harnesses. Remember that the chest measurement is important to ensure that the dog accessories are not too tight and that your dog has enough freedom of movement.
