There's nothing better in the summer than enjoying lots of great outdoor adventures with your dog! ☀️
Whether you're going to the lake at the weekend or your four-legged friend is accompanying you on your well-deserved vacation - we have some tips for worry-free exercise on the beach and lake.
Tips for safe bathing fun with your four-legged friend
- Not all seaside resorts allow dogs, especially in high season. Dog beaches are clearly signposted
- Dogs are not allowed to bathe in nature reserves. Nature and the protection of animals and plants are the focus here
- In hot summer temperatures, the water quality of stagnant bodies of water suffers in many places. Different bacteria and plants multiply uncontrollably when it is warm and make some ponds or swimming lakes a risk for people and animals
- Blue-green algae are harmful bacteria that can infest lakes on hot summer days. These bacteria can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, disorientation, shortness of breath and much more. Under no circumstances should your dog come into contact with the toxins released
- If your dog swims in rivers, you should consider the currents and temperature fluctuations of the rivers. Your dog should not drift too far away from you; drag lines and life jackets can be used as aids
Always pay attention to your surroundings when bathing your dog!
Please keep an eye on your pet while bathing and pay attention to contamination such as broken glass, plastic and rubbish. If you pay attention to the cleanliness of the waters and stay on approved lakes, rivers and beaches, nothing will stand in the way of your refreshing and wet adventure.
We wish you a great summer and unforgettable experiences together with your dog!
